We're Matt and Brooke Garner and we've been together for 12 years but married for a year and half. We picked up camping in 2024 after being tired of renting hotels and airbnbs and not being able to take Nugget (at the time) with us anywhere we wanted to go. 

Matt works as a IT director at a local school district and Brooke is a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a local hospital. 

We prefer the simple things in life and camping does just that. Ever since we first started, it is all that we've ever wanted to do. This make us happy and enjoy life to it's fullest. So join us in our adventure to discover more to life than what meets the eye!

When we mentioned that we started camping in 2024, it first was with truck camping. Often called Overlanding. So we invested in a rack system and a roof top tent for our previous truck. It's taken us to remote locations that are hiding great wonders of the land that are often overlooked by most. 

We've had and used this setup for only 3 trips and we grew tired of emptying and dismantling the truck at the end of each trip as the truck was Matt's daily driver for work. 

In the middle of 2024, we thought it would be a good idea to get something else for camping so that we don't have to keep loading and unloading the truck to go camping. That is where Hank came in. We started researching and watched a ton of videos on Hiker Trailers and how people camped with them. So we put the order in for Hank on a delayed build so that it would be read for pick up in February 2025. 

We picked up Hank and immediately started preparing our trailer for its first maiden voyage to east Kentucky. So far, Hank has taken us to 9 campgrounds in 2025 with another 8 in 2026! Three of them are in National Parks where we got the bug to go to National Parks after our late Honeymoon in Colorado where we went to 6 of them! We do plan on revisiting them again in our future!
